Celebrating 2023 as the Year of the Arts

Join us at the Historic Davenport Hotel as we celebrate the Year of the Arts in 2023! We’re excited to honor the creativity and diversity of our local arts community through a variety of exhibits, performances, and interactive experiences. We are partnering with Grammy-nominated Sacha Boutros’ Hear Me Roar Entertainment Group to tap the local artist community, while bringing in award-winning talent for experiences unlike anything else offered in the destination.

Sacha’s Supper Club Dinners
After successfully hosting ‘Tango in Argentina’ in February – transporting visitors to Buenos Aires with an elaborate dinner and show – we continue our Sacha’s Supper Club dinner series with ‘Swing with Bing’ on May 6, 2023 at 6 p.m. Celebrating what would have been Spokane native and music icon Bing Crosby’s 120th birthday in May, ‘Swing with Bing’ offers an evening of nostalgic Old Hollywood as guests dance the night away in the Grand Pennington Ballroom. The glamorous affair will feature a three-course dinner with live performances by Sacha Boutros and The Sacha’s Supper Club Swing Orchestra led by Kevin Esposito and Brooklyn-based jazz vocalist Charles Turner. Tickets start at $35 plus taxes and fees.

Throughout the year, The Historic Davenport Hotel will continue to host Sacha’s Supper Club dinners, serving as marquee moments for the hotel and recreating American nostalgia with dining, dancing, music and attire that revisit the elegance of a bygone era.

The Songbook Series
The Historic Davenport’s Songbook Series celebrates The Great American Songbook, a compilation of America’s most influential songs of the early 20th century. With piano performances throughout the month in the hotel’s architecturally stunning lobby, the series offers a twist on the traditional live music experience – bringing legendary artists back to life through tribute performances. Upcoming themes include:

• May: Bing Crosby, continuing birthday celebrations for the once a frequent guest at The Historic Davenport
• June: Sarah Vaughn
• July: Irving Berlin
• August: Ella Fitzgerald
• September (Hispanic Heritage Month): Sabor Latino
• November: Songs of Sinatra and Cole Porter
• December: A Holly Jolly Holiday: Christmas Music & Holiday Cheer

Additional Support of the Arts
In addition to arts programming and as a larger effort to support art in the destination, The Davenport Hotel Collection has committed to significant donations to Washington Filmworks in late 2022, which will continue in 2023 and beyond.
